When 'this' means 'that', 'you' means 'someone else' and 'shortly' means 'so far in the future you will be long buried and forgotten'
by JWB inwhen 'this' means 'that', 'you' means 'someone else' and 'shortly' means 'so far in the future you will be long buried and forgotten'.
"so he groaned deeply with his spirit, and said: 'why does this generation seek a sign?
truly i say, no sign will be given to this generation.

Field Service Records
by God_Delusion inhi guys and gals,.
as it's been a good 3 years since i visited a kingdom hall, i was wondering if the keeping of hours still applies?
therefore, does anyone have a pdf of the report slip?.
-
Disillusioned Lost-Lamb
Oh you don't deposit them anymore, not in my cong anyway.
You're supposed to give them to your field circus group overseer.
So now, instead of quickly filling one of these out and cramming it in a box so you can make a hasty retreat from the hall after a meat-ing, you have to hunt down the asshole you need to had it to, engage a greeting to get his attention to hand him the slip that leads to awkward small talk and then fight your way past everyone who's condescendingly saying hello without even looking you in the face just to get the hell outta there; oh and don’t forget to fold it a million times so no one else around you can see the activity you “fudged” on that report.

The light keeps diminishing
by Slidin Fast intoday's wt says it all.
read this, it accurately portrays the last 50 years of fading light from the saddest bunch of con-men in history.. 15 to answer, imagine that you are reading a book by the light of a 100-watt bulb, but then the bulb fails.
since you are left in the dark, you immedi- ately notice what happened and replace the burned-out bulb with a new one.

Um question, before light can diminish, don't you have to have it in the first place?
If religion were like a street dance contest, the WTBT$ would start out with some busted ass moves and then become so despreate that they're breakin' out the sprinkler just to stay in the game.

Wish I Had Been On That Jury
by snowbird ini was summoned for jury duty in march of this year.. if i'd been called to serve on a case involving wt, i would not have mentioned my prior association with the jw's.. i wonder if any serving on the jury in the candace conti case did something similar.. theocratic warfare can work both ways, baby!.

Oh how I wish I could've been too, but I would've declined for the simple fact that I wouldn't want there to be any way the WTBT$ could weasel out or get off on a technicality.
Right now Candace has got them by the balls, and I’d rather have it this way instead of being on that jury.

Very Curious, what kind of feedback are you getting from ACTIVE Jehovah's Witnesses on Candace's California Court Victory ?
by Balaamsass ini am stunned by candace's huge court victory.
it is overdue.
i have been reading comments on jvn, huffington, san jose mercury, nbc, and other sources.

Nothing here; I think most have no clue what's going on since good little R&F are generally cut off from the real world and are usually the last to know about things, that's if they find out at all.

Sanctify Jehovah 's Name!!!!!
by jam insanctify, to make free from.
sin; purify, to make seem right; justify.. ok, the past failed end of the world dates, inperfect men.. but this, the 20 million judgment.. obey the law of the land as long it doesn,t conflict with.
jehovah,s laws.

Aren't they supposed to sanctifying jaygooger instead of dragging him through the mud?
It seems to me that the harder they try to purify his name the filthier they get it.

The Lawsuit: What Is The Aftermath?
by metatron ini have been reading all these wonderful posts about this huge victory for justice against the sick, evil old men of the watchtower with immense delight!.
that said, i think it well that we should consider what the longer term effects of their defeat will be.. i continue to think that they will be under enormous pressure to discreetly end the circuit overseer arrangement somehow.
there have been many rumors about this but the watchtower is stuck with a real dilemma.

Aftermath denotes that it's over,

Education is the Key to Everything
by OnTheWayOut ineducation (not necesarily structured classroom and not necessarily college) is really the key to everything.\.
skyrocketing birthrates go down when the women get educated about birth control and disease.
even where such education is freely available, birthrates go down further when the women go to college and wait to have babies.
-

I agree.
From the moment we are born, we are "educated" on/about everything, so why do so many want to stop and say, "Nope I'm good, no more for me"?
It's mind boggling how someone can lose interest, or dampen someone else’s curiosity, in learning and education.
I never went to college but, now “awake" in my thirties, I have a driving urge get a higher education just because I'm an information junkie and love learning; my only obstacle is figuring out what I want to study, there's just so much to choose from and it all looks interesting.

Confidential matters or policy of secrecy?
by irondork in'this jury bought it'mccabe said simons "did a great job of spinning it into a policy of secrecy, and this jury bought it.".
in fact, mccabe said, the letter was a run-of-the mill reminder that some communications must be kept confidential.
he noted that a section of the letter devoted to child abuse instructed elders to report all allegations to church lawyers so victims can be "protected from further damage.".

The $ociety has always put their own spin on things, so the "dose" of their own medicine must be especially bitter for them now.
And
Any person in their right mind with nothing to hide, when learning of a major crime being committed, would immediately go to the appropriate authorities.
So running to a group of attorneys that represent the corporation, not the victim, is not going to the appropriate authorities, it's the opposite!

Excellent news article re Candace Conti's abuse, not for the sensitive or tender-hearted
by yesidid inhttp://www.sfgate.com/cgi-bin/article.cgi?f=/c/a/2012/06/15/bauq1p2ph2.dtl.
sadly there are details which may make you heave or want to commit violence..

This just makes me sick.
The only thing the WTBT$ protects is itself and the only thing it abhors is it's members.
They may be able to pull the wool over R&F eyes, but do they think everyone is stupid?
